Fish Tank Designs

There are four basic design styles detailed in this book. The first design is an enclosed cabinet with storage for supplies. The second also includes storage below the aquarium; however, it consists of open shelves, similar to a bookcase.

The third design is a double tank configuration. This will allow you to maintain additional species of fish that may not be otherwise compatible with your first breed of fish. For example, you could designate one tank for freshwater fish and use the second tank for saltwater fish.

The final design is a tabletop design. This simple aquarium could be placed on an existing bookshelf, desk, or table.

These design plans can be constructed in five-gallon, ten-gallon, 20-gallon, or 50-gallon configurations. Be sure to decide how many fish you intend to maintain prior to construction so you can determine the proper size aquarium and create a suitable environment for your pet fish.
